Our Team

Dr. Glendon G. Thompson serves as senior pastor of Jarvis Street Baptist Church. He is also the president and a professor of systematic theology at Toronto Baptist Seminary and Bible College, and editor of The Gospel Witness magazine. Dr. Thompson is a regular conference speaker and lecturer in Canada, USA, and the Caribbean

Daniel has been on staff at JSBC since ​2010. His responsibilities include overseeing the ​adult Sunday school, the choir ministry, the audio-visual elements of worship, and​ various pastoral roles. ​Daniel is also the managing editor of Jarvis Street’s quarterly periodical, the Gospel Witness. ​He completed his Bachelor’s degree in ​Biology at the University of ​Waterloo in 2005, and his M.Div at Toronto Baptist Seminary​ in 2010​. ​Daniel is married to ​Ruth-Anne with ​three little one​s​.

Pastor Wang grew up in China and came to Canada in 1999. The Lord graciously saved him in Windsor in 2000. He and his wife, Danni, were baptized at Jarvis Street Baptist Church in 2001. After completing his M.Div. at Toronto Baptist Seminary, Gang joined the Carey Outreach Ministries becoming involved in overseas theological training for over nine years. During those years Gang also served as an elder at Grace Trinity Community Church in Guelph. In 2017 Gang came back to serve at Toronto Baptist Seminary as the Registrar, and became a member of the pastoral team at Jarvis Street Baptist Church. Gang and Danni live in Toronto with their two children.

Nathan has been on staff at JSBC since 2016, having formerly worked for CIBC in technology at the Atrium on Bay. His responsibilities at JSBC include overseeing the Young Adults/College and Careers ministry (Sunday School and Friday nights) as well as outreach, in addition to various pastoral roles.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in 2013 and is currently completing his M.Div at Toronto Baptist Seminary. He is married to Sarah with a little one due in May 2018.

David has been an assistant pastor at JSBC since May 2017. He teaches ESL Bible study as well as Mandarin/Chinese Bible study. David also oversees the church book room and assists our senior pastor with academic research.

David is currently a student in the M.Div. program at Toronto Baptist Seminary. He studied music at the University of Ottawa and plays the violin. David is married to Sharon whom he met while on a missions trip in China.

Danni is the voice you hear when phoning the church office. She manages the Intercessor, bulletins, and appointments. She is married to Pastor Gang Wang and they have two children. Danni loves the beauty of God’s creation and in her spare time enjoys hiking our local parks and conservation areas.
